AFFIDAVIT SERVICES
At Corman Park Notaries, our professional affidavit notarization services ensure your sworn statements are legally binding for use in Saskatchewan courts, government agencies, and private matters.
WHAT IS AN AFFIDAVIT?
An affidavit is a written statement of facts, sworn or affirmed under oath before a notary public or commissioner for oaths. It serves as formal evidence, carrying the weight of legal credibility when presented in judicial, administrative, or regulatory contexts.
AFFIDAVIT PROCESS TIMELINE
Our notarization workflow is designed for clarity and efficiency:
- Appointment & Verification: You arrive with your completed affidavit and photo ID; the notary confirms your identity and the presence of required elements.
- Oath or Affirmation: You swear or affirm the truth of the document’s contents in the notary’s presence.
- Notarial Certification: The notary applies the official seal and signature, completing the legal formalities.
- Final Delivery: You receive your notarized affidavit immediately, ready for submission to courts or other authorities.
IDENTITY VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To ensure the validity of your affidavit, all signatories must present original, government-issued photo identification. Acceptable forms include a current driver’s license, passport, or provincial health card with photo. Identification must clearly display your name, photograph, and date of birth. Please bring the original ID with you; photocopies will not be accepted.
DOCUMENT RETENTION & CONFIDENTIALITY
Once notarization is complete, we retain a copy of your affidavit in our secure records for the period required by Saskatchewan’s notarial standards. All client information and supporting materials are handled with strict confidentiality and protected by professional privacy protocols.
